An Open Letter to Vick11


The most famous scene in the film Network begins with the character Howard Beale opening a stellar rant with the words, “I don’t have to tell you things are bad.  Everybody knows things are bad.”  Such is true to carry the film, such is true for the purpose it was written – a caustic, prophetic satire on (US) American society – and such is absolutely true in NavyField.  He later continues, “. . . and there’s nobody anywhere who seems to know what to do, and there’s no end to it.”
